Surf Reports
Today's Surf ReportTuesday 6/18/13 at 5:50 amKnee high this morning and fairly clean with a light breeze out of the SW. Best chance for a session today would likely be within the next couple hours as yesterday the little wave that was there quickly disappeared once the tide turned. Winds will increase and turn more SE later today. See the forecast discussion below to check out the wave potential and weathercast for next week.
Surf Forecast DiscussionUPDATED Tuesday 6/18/13 at 12:42 pmA front and its associated Low pressure will push north of the region this evening. With a dominant High pressure parked over the central Atlantic basin mingling with the frontal boundary, a SE/ESE medium period swell is showing. Thigh/waist high swell should continue into tomorrow morning. There is potential for a brief clean up early tomorrow before winds turn more out of the south by afternoon. Models project a weak disturbance developing just off the southeast coast on Thursday. For now, its not looking to organize enough to produce any significant swell, but it will need to be monitored over the next couple days for any changes. Stay tuned.
